for the nth time

i was quite pissed off last wednesday. we were told that our new shift for the next few weeks will start from 10pm to 7am. i woke up late so i hurriedly took a cab eventhough my money is not enough to last me til next payday. i arrived 5 minutes early, only to find out from joey that our schedule was really 11pm to 8am. and it was for accent training. still. the product training was moved to nov12. darn it. i was more than an hour early. and the cab i rode has already been calibrated. so i wasted an enormously huge amount of my much needed dinero. to top it all, i have to undergo accent neutralization and mavis beacon for the nth time. ughh. how could they not inform us of this change beforehand? well, i guess i'm still lucky compared to my friends macky, jenny and mia. after coming in early at six in the morning, they were asked to go home and come back that same night because there was a mix-up. as with us, their schedule was not for product but still for accent training. just a slight miscommunication for the managers. but a huge inconvenience for these agents who wasted their money, time, energy and much longed-for sleep just to go to work right on their "supposed" schedule. but i guess everything still worked out for the best. for the meantime that is. i'm not saying that just because i don't want to turn this into an angst page. you see, as most of us L1s were back to our former night shift, we get to stay together and work with almost the same group that we were comfortable with before. plus, add to that an exceptional trainer who can hopefully manage to handle us and alleviate our boredom until the full duration of this training. and as far as i've noticed, minus most of the power-trippers who used to clutter our floor before. but sadly, without our L2 friends though... well, at least we still get to see carLo, em-j and pao-pao before our shift ends in the morning. =D i guess that's better than nothing. we also got the chance to talk to professor X and lo and behold, he gave us what we wanted. a modified schedule and a set of activities we adore but at the same time somehow conducive to our learning. (you know...english movies, net surfing and funstuff;p). basically, he considered our appeal to be heard so i really think professor X is not just plain stunning looks and richard gere charisma...i feel like he's really listening to us and his concern for our happiness and company satisfaction seems genuine enough for me. (but as most of my friends say, i'm a bit gullible. so i'm just praying that everything he told us is true and not just bullshit like those promises once made also by others in high position like him).
